Boyfriend and Chino– do they go together?!
What do you think about the “boyfriend style/chino” look?? I have to say, I really wasn’t into it because I thought then when you wore something that was too big on you, it would tend to make you look more “pleasant (wink wink)” than what you really are, right?! Well, this year my opinion is the opposite! For some reason, Robin and I are into this look more than ever! We just got in the J Brand chino’s and they are AMAZING! Even guys are complimenting me without me even asking what they thought! Is the color? The style? Who knows! But whatever it is, you definitely have to try it out!
We got in the Army green chino which is huge for the Summer. So far, I’ve worn them with a bright Autumn Cashmere sweater, tank, and a pair of flip flops which was perfect for a Saturday look. Last night, I went to dinner and put them with a t-shirt and my favorite Tory Burch cardi and it seemed to look “cool but effortless”! (FYI– These words are not just my opinion too, I have a few people telling me this so I’m not just making this up). You need to try it. Sometimes you want to look cool without having those tight jean leggings on, but honestly, no one will take either style away from me– I’m set for the summer, now we just have to get YOU in them!

It’s all about the Brass
Robin, Bo (aka our mom), and I went to Philly for the day yesterday and I was dying to see if a box that we had been waiting for had arrived. To my pleasant surprise, it did, YAY! What was in it??? TYLIE MALIBU BAGS– Have you seen them?! They are AWESOME and new to our store but we definitely think they will be a hit!
Each bag will meet everyone’s needs. The chic, the rocker, the girly girl– you are bound to love at least one style! They are seen on celebrities, like Lea Michelle below wearing the “Runaway” messenger bag, they are in all the weekly mags, and now we have them! The leather is amazing and feels like you have already owned your bag for years without having to do all the “break in” work yourself. Their thing is chunky brass pyramid studs that gives you the “rocker” look without trying. You know, the metal that is on just about everything today?! Well, with this brand you can’t get enough!
We can’t tell you how much we love these bags and hope you do to! They are a definite MUST from us! The bags retail from $150 up to $450. We have the “Runaway” messenger bag that Lea is wearing in tobacco (brown) and an off white–perfect for the summer and a bag that you can throw anything and everything in. We also have the “Simone”, a small handsfree bag with a heavy chain strap in black and also a fun turquoise that is great for a girls night out, and other great styles! Come see for yourself. Trust us– you won’t regret it.

Welcome to our daily blog! This is our first day and thanks to our friend Kerrie, we will be blogging every day now with something new about our store, our lives, and of course fashion! We love to hear what our favorite customers are thinking and if there is anything you specifically want in your very Closet Boutique, we can always try to make that happen!
To start off, we want to welcome you to our website and blog, and also welcome you back for the summer season! We are SO excited for you to see what we have new in store, it’s going to be an amazing summer! We brought in some great new brands and also have your old favorites! New to our store is Tory Burch, Milly, Jack Rogers shoes, Votivo candles, and so much more! We also brought back Anya Hindmarch– the great accessory brand out of London. As for your old fav’s- hanky panky (we also introduced more styles and colors), Autumn Cashmere, J Brand, Hat Attack accessories, and Hard Tail for those work out bunnies!
We hope you are coming down to see us this weekend, it’s supposed to be 75 and sunny so it would be a great weekend to get down and pick up some of your favorite pieces before someone else does! We will be here to help you pick out some great staples that Robin and I have in our own Closet’s that we definitely think should be in yours!
